Working in collaboration with Dan Colen, a New York based artist whose work has been described as urban poetry, we fabricated a series of ultra high performance standards that were able to withstand the high moment forces in hanging tension, while also anchoring the structure to the ground. The torqued park bench is based on the ubiquitous and classic Central Park design but reimagined as a stretched and curving skateboard ramp bench that is both original and transformative.
